Expo Sapori proudly welcomes Sandhurst as its Presenting Partner, an Italian-Australian family business established in 1988, preserving generations of tradition through authentic Mediterranean flavours, time-honoured family recipes and a passion for quality ingredients.

From sun-kissed olives and iconic semi-dried tomatoes to a wide range of Italian and Mediterranean specialities, Sandhurst brings old-world preserving traditions to contemporary Australian tables. Wine Pouring at the Italian Festa

Welcome to Expo Sapori

In Italy, wine and food were never separate stories. A Barolo tastes of the same hills as the cheese sitting beside it. A coastal white shares its salt air with whatever's on the plate next to it. And with the wave of immigrants and now their children, and grandchildren working together in a celebration of culinary heritage, we bring you the best Australian made and grown expressions of Italian products alongside premium imports. Join us on a mouthwatering gastronomic adventure as you sample and buy from the best.

From the Slopes to the Sea

Travel the length of Italy in a single session, from alpine Nebbiolo to sun-baked Nero d'Avola, each region unmistakably its own. Then taste the same idea at work closer to home: Vinea Marson's Sangiovese grown in Heathcote by a family with four generations of Friulian winemaking history, Billy Button's rare Italian alpine varieties from Victoria's King Valley, and Unico Zelo's rockstar Fiano, grown in the Adelaide Hills where the grape and the climate were made for each other. Same logic, different hemisphere.
There will be over 100 wines for you to discover, try and buy direct from winemakers and importers- with many of these usually available only at restaurants.

Italian Food Discovery

Food gets its own place at Expo Sapori this year. Alba Cheese carries recipes two Sicilian brothers brought to Melbourne in the 1960s. Giusti ships straight from a Modena balsamic house running since 1605. Alessandro Luppolo brings chocolate made the Italian way, alongside more hand-picked importers and makers rounding out a table that spans centuries and continents. Slow down and taste your way through it.
