Guy Grossi

Guy Grossi is a Melbourne-born chef and restaurateur and one of the best-known names in Italian cooking in Australia. The son of a Milanese chef who arrived in Melbourne in 1960, he trained at Box Hill Institute and cooked in his father's kitchens before opening restaurants of his own.
For more than twenty-five years he led Grossi Florentino on Bourke Street, alongside venues including Merchant Osteria Veneta and Ombra Salumi Bar. In 1996 the President of Italy awarded him L'Insegna del Ristorante Italiano for promoting Italian cuisine, and he has written four cookbooks, among them My Italian Heart and Love Italy.
A familiar face on Australian television, he has appeared on Food Safari, Iron Chef Australia and My Kitchen Rules.
